EASTON — Talbot Hospice raised a new American and Maryland flag on Tuesday, Nov. 15, in a ceremony that was attended by members of the Blake-Blackston American Legion and Anthony Principi, who was the secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs under George W. Bush.
Numerous other veterans from Talbot Hospice were also present to enjoy the ceremony. The members of the Blake-Blackston American Legion helped to take down the old flags and raise the new ones.
Principi, who gave a speech before the old flags were replaced, worked under Bush from 2001 until 2005. He also serves on the boards for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, Engility Inc., Get Well Network Inc. and Imprimis Pharmaceuticals, and he is chairman of The Spectrum Group in Alexandria, Va.
